Future soloists and future composers: a look back and a look forward as we celebrate the best of our NB cultures. This program features the return of guest conductor Genevieve Leclair, leading Camerata through some charming works of “Les six” composers of 1920 France, and then through some of today’s descendants of this tradition. Special guest appearance of Phoebe Robertson, flute in a 70th anniversary celebration performance of Kelsey Jones’s (SNB’s first conductor) Concerto for Strings and Flute.

I'm very pleased to be partnering with Steinway Pianos at Park Avenue Pianos to present my 30-minute recital "Baroque and Beyond", live from Sackville, New Brunswick, Canada, a retrospective, contemplative, and uplifting program of works by J.S. Bach, Newton, Ysaÿe, and Karg-Elert. All proceeds from this livestream will support the work of the International OCD Foundation based in Boston, MA, who provide vital support to individuals living with OCD and OCD-related disorders.

Phoebe performs the Concerto for Flute and Orchestra in G Major, K. 313 with Carl Topilow and the Carnegie Mellon Philharmonic.

Other concert repertoire includes Strauss’s Don Juan and Stravinsky’s Petrushka (1947 version).

Phoebe Robertson, joined by Vahan Sargsyan (piano), Bronwyn Hagerty (cello), and Alyssa Hensley (harp), presents a program of works inspired by duality, highlighting the multifaceted developments of flute writing over the last 300 years.

This recital is free to the public and will be livestreamed via the CMU YouTube channel. A reception will follow in the Great Hall.

Trio Cassatt presents a program of enchanting works for flute, cello, and harp inspired by the joy of the holiday season. Nestled in the Phipps Conservatory’s famous Light Garden, the Trio will perform favourites from The Nutcracker Suite, Messiah, and carols to accompany guests’ tours of the Garden.
